Day Two - Morning: Visit Vogel State Park, go boating on Lake Nottely, or visit the beach for a day of relaxing at Poteete Creek Recreation Area.
If you want to really get off the beaten path, then plan on a trip to Suches, Georgia. Located in Union County, it is a beautiful destination. Don't forget your camera!
Many unique cafes and other dining establishments are located throughout Union County. Ask one of the chamber ladies what they would suggest.
There's also the Union County Farmers Market. Late spring means strawberries, ramps, fresh greens, other vegetables, crafts, and more.
Springtime brings an abundance of blooms! The southern Appalachian Mountains are home to lady slippers, trilliums, wild iris, mountain laurels, flaming azaleas and many more rare and unusual species.
Love horses? Look for scheduled events at the Union County Horse Arena. There are also many exciting festivals and country fairs scheduled throughout the year.
